Description: Columbus Edge Polishing Wax is specifically designed for smoothing and protecting the edges of leather. It gives leather edges a smoother, glossier look with enhanced waterproofing. After coloring the leather edges with liquid dye and back treatment, using this wax intensifies the color and adds a sheen. The clear wax, when applied, gives a transparent and clear finish on the leather.

How to Use:

  1. After applying the wax on the leather edges, use a lighter or other heatable object to quickly move back and forth over the leather edge for a sealing process (heat sealing).
  2. Be careful not to overheat to avoid scorching the leather. The process is complete once the wax is absorbed into the leather.

Regular Maintenance:

  • Regularly check the condition of the leather edges and reapply the edge wax as necessary to maintain its shine and waterproof effect.
  • Properly store the edge wax, avoiding high temperatures and humidity, to maintain its best quality.

** Customers meanwhile can use common white clue to replace our leather glue to stick the leather pieces. Leather finishing is usually applied once stitching is done for smoothening the edges; if needed, customers can apply a small amount of water to the edges and polish with cloth.

2. It is normal to spot skin pattern/texture, bug/insect stain and uneven color distribution from natural leather. Applying protective coating or mink oil is highly recommended to protect the product from water and dirt.

3. Our products contain small parts and items with sharp edges. Children under 5 should stay way from this product, which is not suitable for children under six. Adult supervision is needed for children between 6 to 12 when stitching this product.
